Vineyards located in Vila Nova de Foz Coa , Upper Douro on slaty soil, on the south bank of the River Douro, northeast-facing and hot, dry, of continental Mediterranean influence climate.
Light pre-fermentation maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature controlled at 28 ºC. After malolactic fermentation, minimum ageing of 12 months in a tank and in wood.

Recommended storage is 8 years. Accompanies well all meat dishes and cheeses in general.
